Jesus ascribed no special spiritual status to His earthly Mother. He actually downplayed her spiritual authority over His ministry. He never gave instructions to anyone to start praying to her, bowing down to her, or venerate her or any other man or woman, which is idolatry. Rather, He was continuously consistent in returning all glory to the rightful place, God, the Heavenly Father, as did Joseph's wife, Mary, herself.
Of course, He loved His earthly mother and wanted her cared for after He died, which is why He assigned His disciple John to look after her after while He was on the cross of Golgotha.
John 19:25-27 (KJV)25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

When Jesus was speaking to the people about spiritual matters of demonic deliverance, His mother and brothers came and stood outside of the crowd and sent notice to Jesus that they wanted to speak to Him. When He was told that Mary, His earthly mother, and his brothers wanted to talk to Him, He didn't drop everything and run to her to hear what she and the others wanted.
Matthew 12:47-5047 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
His response makes it clear that we are not to put our earthly parents desires above the commandments of the Heavenly Father.

Luke 2:41-51King James Version (KJV)
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
People if you pray to Mary, or any other dead person, you must stop this. You are not praying to them as they are dead and know nothing of this life any longer, they rest and await the resurrection of the dead.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 (KJV)5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
We must ensure that our worship and attribution of glory always goes to the Only One who it should, Elohim.

Exodus 20:1-6 (KJV)
20 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
